Bennetts Associates are hosting our traditional quiz night where we’ll be raising money for green screens at Prior Weston school. The school has recently received a GLA air quality audit and the only recommendation for the school that will directly reduce pollution in the playgrounds was to install green screens. The school has already taken all other possible actions, including many anti-idling events and awareness raising lessons. Only 2% of pupils are driven to school and none of the staff drive.

There are over 2,600 vehicles per day on core roads within 200m of the school. NO2 levels in the playgrounds exceed the legal limit of 40micrograms/cubic metre (in the worst quartile of all schools in London). A study by GLA/Defra has found that green screens reduce pollution in playgrounds during school hours by 36% for NO2 and 41% for PM10.

The quiz will start at 6:30pm. You can register a team of up to six people, or if you’re coming on your own, we can help you find a team to join. The entry fee will be £15 per person, and we’ll also be holding a raffle. To register, contact info@isep.org.uk and we’ll keep you up to date with the details.

If you can’t attend the quiz, but would still like to make a donation, visit our Just Giving page.
