Thanks to all the members who submitted their energy data for the annual monitoring exercise and worked so hard to reduce energy use and cut carbon emissions (CO2) over the last year.
The fantastic news is we achieved another 2% reduction in CO2 emissions against our 2013/14 figures. That means since 2008 Partnership members have reduced emissions by a total of 25,200 tCO2 across Islington!
Why is this important? Well, improved energy efficiency boosts productivity and profitability as well as reducing our contribution to climate change. That 25,200 tCO2 equates to an estimated £4.2M in avoided energy costs, which means a healthier balance sheet for our members.
